• Asymptomatic testing of staff

  Dear parents,

   

  From this Monday, the 25th January 2021, the government will be making rapid-result coronavirus tests available to all staff in all primary schools.

   

  This testing is being introduced to help safeguard the health of staff and pupils by helping to identify those who are carrying the virus without displaying any symptoms.

   

  Please can all parents take the time to read the attached letter, especially critical workers whose children are currently accessing a school place.

  Our latest newsletter is available on our All Saints' website.

   

  It includes:

  • Information about our remote education. Many thanks for your continued support whilst our children learn from home;
  • Online safety information from the London Grid for Learning. 
  • Things to look out for including:
    • Telephone calls for familes of children who are learning from home. 
    • New reading books for all of our children, using our book bands.
    • A pack of book banded comprehension questions to help support reading at home.

   

  From Monday 25th January, staff at both schools will be starting to take part in twice weekly COVID tests. Parents who are criticial workers, and are accessing school places, will receive another letter today with further information about this.

   

  Thank you for the many kind e-mails, messages and telephone calls. Please continue to keep in touch and I hope that the opportunity to talk to staff next week, followed by the questionnaire, will provide yourselves with chances to let us know how we can further help.

• School closure (only open to children of critical workers who are unable to stay at home)

  Dear parents and carers, 

   

  Following the announcement tonight by the Prime Minister, as from tomorrow (Tuesday 5th January), school will be closed to the majority of pupils.   

   

  We will continue to provide child care for children of key workers and vulnerable pupils ONLY  as defined here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision

   

  The message tonight was that, once again, all children, where possible, should stay at home.

  We have shared a letter today regarding the planned start of the Spring term on Tuesday 5th January. I hope that the letter answers any questions and/or allays any concerns.

• End of year letter

  Our final newsletter of 2020 is now available online.

   

  It includes the following information:

   

  • Coming up: Christmas plans (keep your eyes open for the ParentMail from your child's teacher with details of their Christmas performance).
  • Keeping in touch until 23rd December: All Saints’ senior leadership team will be working up to, and including, Wednesday 23rd December 2020 to ensure any new cases of Covid 19 are adequately traced.
  • Dates: INSET dates for the remainder of this year and details of four INSET dates which we have set for the next academic year.

  Dear parents and carers,

   

  As you know, we have been developing our approach to home education over the course of the last few months and have been continuing to refine our provision for your children when they are learning from home.

   

  Our policy and the summary of what we will provide can be found in the documents below. We have had these monitored and quality assured externally through our multi-academy trust as well as our governing body and both have been very positive in their response to the plans in place.
