With Christmas just around the corner we know that, for many people, times are difficult. In our lessons, we have talked about how we can help others, through charitable donations and generous gestures and an opportunity has arisen for us to do just that. Our Ukrainian children have left so much behind in their home country and one of the greatest things they have left behind is their school and friends.
There is a lorry delivering supplies leaving Nottingham in a couple of weeks and our children have decided to send gifts to children spending their Christmas without the normal festive celebrations that we will be enjoying here. Year 5 have volunteered to wrap and box up any gifts and donations, as you can see from the pictures, the contributions are mounting! Many thanks for your continued support.
Hello,
I would like to thank teachers, pupils and their parents for their participation in a Secret Santa event for Ukrainian kids.
It was great teamwork. I saw photos, the kids were like real Santa helpers.
This weekend all the presents will be sent to Ukraine. I hope that Ukrainian children will receive them before the winter break.
When I have some photos from the Ukrainian school, I'll send them to you.
Thank you very much for your support.
Best regards,
Olha Yezhova
