Family Support at All Saints'

Our Family Support service provides an Early help offer (Level 2) to all children and families with emerging needs.

Family Support staff will provide additional help for children, young people and families as soon as challenges start to emerge or where it is likely that issues will impact negatively on children’s outcomes.

Family support

• Is for children of all ages within our school;
• Provides additional support for families, parents and carers;
• Is very effective in supporting a child, young person and/or their family to step down from statutory services as well as preventing the escalation of issues.

How can we support our families at All Saints’?

As the Learning Mentor here at All Saints’ Federation of Schools, I am always here to offer support, advice, and guidance to our families to help ensure the well-being of our children is supported fully. As part of my role I can help signpost families to the appropriate outside agencies. I also work closely with the family support service based at Highfields School.

Support for our families include:

*Attendance and punctuality

*Liaising with a range of external services

*Providing safeguarding support including online safety

*Building strong relationships with pupils and families

* Providing communication between home and school through our Early Help email address (earlyhelp@allsaintsfed.derbyshire.sch.uk)

Support for our pupils include:

*Promoting good attendance and punctuality

*Promoting positive behaviour and positive attitudes towards learning

*Promoting positive self esteem

*Providing social and emotional support to our children (SEMH)

*Support for pupils that have suffered loss or bereavement

In my role, I work over both our Infant and Junior sites. I can often be found at the top entrance to the Junior School most mornings welcoming and greeting our parents and children- please feel free to come and introduce yourself.
