PSHE

The importance of children's physical, emotional, social and mental health

PSHE is vital in a child's education.

We aim to provide high quality PSHE through explicit lessons, in every class, as well as via 'in the moment' teaching and discussions as needs arise.

Our personal, social and health education (PSHE) curriculum brings together citizenship with personal well-being, whilst supporting children's understanding of the fundamental British Value. Whilst PSHE is taught explicitly through discreet lessons, it also underpins all activities, collective worship, educational visits and extra-curricular clubs.

What do we teach?

Our planned PSHE curriculum is set out below.

As part of our PSHE programme, our children take part in a progressive curriculum of Relationship and Sex Education. We have a carefully developed our own Relationship and Sex Education curriculum, based upon the views of our children, parents, governors and staff.

You can  find out more on our Relationship and Sex Education curriculum page.
