At All Saints' we teach our children the core values and beliefs of those who follow them, in order for our children to develop their understanding and empathy towards the world around them. This allows our children to flourish as as citizens of local, national and global communities.
We use a combination of Understanding Christianity and the locally agreed Derbyshire Agreed Syllabus. Our leaders have carefully developed up a progressive curriculum for our school.

We use lots of practical experiences and the children visit places of worship including a Mosque and a Mandir. Our children also meet people of faith from different communities. We work together with The Open Centre and the Diocese of Derby so that children can gain the widest understanding of the diverse society in which we live.
Our teaching encourages children to explore big questions, to understand the impact of faith on the lifestyles of believers and discover how people of faith would express their faith and explain their ideas. We respect the distinctiveness of these traditions as well as looking for common areas of belief. Our curriculum is designed to help children to understand and engage with Christianity and to also understand and respect those of all faiths or none.
