Special Reading Week Challenges
Week commencing: 1st June 2020 for vulnerable and key worker children ONLY
We are looking forward to welcoming more of our critical key worker children into both schools on Monday. We have shared a short presentation/video with our critical worker families today, explaining our arrangements for Monday 1st June. This is available on our website.
Week commencing: 8th June
We will be in contact with families during the middle of next week as we look to carefully support the safe return of more children to All Saints' (as outlined in our letter on 20th May).
Rest assured that our staff will continue to plan and provide daily learning via Google Classroom.
Many thanks, Mr. O'Connell
Dear parents,
I would like to share two important letters with you, as we carefully plan for the phased re-opening of our schools.
1. Phased re-opening of All Saints’ CE Infant and All Saints’ CE Junior schools
Please can parents read the short letter outlining our plans for the phased re-opening of both schools, from the 1st June (subject to confirmation). It is our intention to return in a phased and careful way, which will allow us to safely scale-up attendance and build resilience, as safe routines become established and confidence increases.
At this time, unfortunately, I need to be very clear to parents that we do not have the safe capacity for all children to return.
Please can I ask you to take the time to read this short letter.
2. Guidance on how we are planning to safely re-open our schools in a phased way
We know that many parents have understandable questions and concerns about the possible re-opening of schools. We have published a a letter on our website which outlines the steps we are planning to help ensure the safety of our children, staff and the community. I appreciate that the letter is lengthy, but I hope that the different sections, accompanying photographs and the Q&As will help answer any questions or concerns.
You can also view our risk assessment for re-opening online (Key Information/COVID-19).
Please remember: our Senior Leaders are available tomorrow and on Friday for a Zoom call if you have any further questions or concerns. Please contact the office who will help schedule a call (either info-inf@allsaintsfed.derbyshire.sch.uk or info-jun@allsaintsfed.derbyshire.sch.uk).
Thank you for your continued support and very kind messages to school over the last 8 weeks. Your support has helped to keep us smiling and we have enjoyed hearing from you and the children. We miss having our children in school very much and are looking forward to the day when we can welcome all our children back in to school again.
Many thanks,
Mr. O'Connell
Good morning,
We have sent all parents a letter regarding the possible (and partial) re-opening of schools. It is also available online, on our website.
Please can parents read our letter alongside the Department for Education's Guidance for parents and carers (published 11.3.20).
Careful next steps
I hope that the Dfe’s Guidance for Parents, plus the information within our letter, will go some way to answer the questions and concerns you undoubtedly have.
We have a clear timetable for the next few days, which we are pleased to note is in line with the Dfe’s initial planning framework (which was only published late last night):
Many thanks,
Mr. O'Connell
Our latest newsletter is now available online. It includes:
