Since September, all our classes in Years 1 to 6 have operated as separate class bubbles. This system has enabled us to keep our children, staff and community safe. However, we have always been aware of the limitations of this system and have continued to review the situation closely.
Following the recent review of National Restrictions, we have decided to carefully work towards forming whole year group bubbles, across both schools.
We have shared a letter today, via ParentMail, regarding the careful forming of year group bubbles, which we are planning to introduce from Monday 7th June. Parents can find a copy of the letter online within the 'newsletter' section.
Many thanks, Mr. O'Connell
Staff at All Saints' have prepared some online safety information for the children in each phase of our school.
We are introducing our new online safety knowledge organisers to support the 'being safe' teaching which we're delivering as part of our RSE teaching next week.
We hope that parents will also use and refer to the online safety knowledge organisers at home. They summarise all the key learning which are children are taught. We want all of our children to know, remember and use this learning so they are safe when online.
Next year, these will be part of the children's planners (along with the art, geography, history and science knowledge organisers).
Join us at either 9.30am or 5pm on Wednesday 12th May for our Early Reading and Phonics Coffee Morning or Teatime Workshop with Miss. JJ, Mrs. LLoyd and Mrs. Lee
Following this event, the powerpoint will be saved into the Reading Section on our School Website.
Good afternoon,
Miss. Harcup, our R.S.E. leader, has sent a letter to all parents this afternoon with details about our planned RSE teaching and curriculum.
We worked with our children, parents, staff and governors to develop a progressive RSE curriculum which was positively received by parents in November 2019 (99.4% of 340 respondents).
We are now beginning to plan the implementation of the RSE curriculum across the both schools. Staff will be teaching the previous years’ objectives during the week beginning Monday 17th May. This is outlined in the letter sent today.
If needed, there will be several Zoom meetings prior to Monday 17th May, which parents are more than welcome to attend, should any further information be required. Please let us know by completing the form sent by ParentMail.
Many thanks, Mr. O'Connell
Hello,
Our latest newsletter is now available online (and has been sent to all parents via ParentMail).
The final newsletter of the Spring term includes:
I hope that you and your family enjoy a restful Easter break. Please do keep in touch via the covid@allsaintsfed.derbyshire.sch.uk email if your child feels unwell.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child/ren back to school when we reopen on Monday 19th April, following the same staggered arrival times.
Many thanks for your continued support for the staff, children and each other.
Mr. O’Connell
Dear parent(s) and carer(s),
It has been wonderful to welcome our children back to All Saints’ CE Infant and Junior school this morning. Thank you for your continued support when bringing the children to school. We really appreciate your support by wearing face coverings and maintaining the space between each other.
Lateral flow tests for parents
We would like to share information regarding regular, rapid COVID testing for all parents (and adults within childcare bubbles). Our staff have been undertaking these tests, twice a week, since January and we continue to do so.
We would like to encourage as many parents as possible to take up this offer (primary aged school children are not being tested). The use of tests for parents can help to further reduce transmission rates and it gives us the best chance of keeping both schools open for interrupted education.
You can find further information in our latest letter sent home today.
Thank you for your continued support.
Many thanks,
Mr. O'Connell
Good morning,
Parents and carers can find our newsletter on our All Saints' website. This letter provides information and guidance regarding the full opening of All Saints' CE Infant and Junior schools from Monday 8th March.
It includes:
Most importantly, it includes a reminder to parents that we all need to work together to ensure our schools continue to remain open, to all pupils in all year groups. We can only do this if we all take care in following the guidance.
Please get in touch if you have any questions or queries and please take up the opportunity to meet with our seniors leaders and I next week.
Take care and we look forward to welcoming all of our children back to All Saints' on Monday 8th March.
Many thanks,
Mr. O’Connell
