To celebrate World Book Day, all the staff at ASI put on the performance of their lives for our children. We took the fairytale Snow White and put an ASI twist on it!
Snow White is poisoned by her wicked Step Mother and even though Prince Charming tries to wake her up, it doesn’t work! The Fairy Godmother calls for a real hero in the shape of Princess Pearl (from the well loved book Zog and the Flying Doctors) for CPR, which saves Snow White!
The children loved our little show and the boo’s for the Wicked Queen were amazing!!
World Book Day for year 1 involved the children making bookmarks, writing their own books and reading books together!
They had so much fun 🤩
Year 2 had a wonderful day sharing their books with friends, doing World Book Day activities and even had a Mystery Reader!
ASI have kicked World Book Day off with a bang, our children and staff have gone all out to share the love of our favourite characters!
First up today is EYFS
The children in Early Years have made an Elmer mosaic, designed book covers and are loving the fun of todays dress up! We are also moulding and sculpting gruffalo figures in playdough and digging for super worm in the garden
This week we started our first Gardening Club of the year and we were really excited to put on our jackets and explore the garden. We learnt the names of the plants already growing in the garden and made a start on seed sowing. We have planted some pea seeds in trays and have planted our own pots of cress to take home to look after.
A flippin' marvelous morning in EYFS! We enjoyed squeezing, spreading and tasting delicious pancakes. We also chatted with our friends about our favourite toppings, what a super sticky morning we have had! Happy Pancake Day everyone!
Year 2 wrote some amazing stories this week and even made some puppets to help with their storytelling
