• Year 1 share their amazing fairytales with EYFS

  The Year 1 children have been working hard to create their own narrative inspired by Rapunzel. They considered the beginning, middle and end when writing their wonderful sentences. They also created puppets to make their stories into 'pop up' books. The EYFS children thoroughly enjoyed hearing you read your writing performing some lovely story telling, thank you Year 1!

  Year 2 have had another wonderful Mystery Reader, Mrs Skelhorn!!

  Mrs Skelhorn bought along a wonderful book that was a firm winner with the children 💕

  

• Question Time with our Cherry Blossom Knights

  This term in Literacy we have been reading a variety of fiction and non-fiction books about Dragons, castles and knights. We have enjoyed role play question and answers this week, taking it in turns to be a real knight! The children thought of interesting questions to ask, such as: Do you sleep in your amour? Do you fight dragons? The knights thought of creative answers. We are super proud of our Cherry Blossom children! We look forward to exploring our new topic 'Furry Friends' next term!

• Buddies meet up at ASJ

  Our Year 2 children had another visit to ASJ this week!  They had a tour and then spent some time making bookmarks with their Year 3 buddies!

  

• Safer Internet Day 2025

  As part of Safer Internet Day, our children have been learning about how to keep themselves safe online.  Mrs Seddon used the story “Troll Stinks” during the learning in Cherry Blossom

  

• Year 2 Mystery Reader

  Last week we had another Year 2 Mystery reader, this time Mr Perrott joined us!

  Mr Perrott bought along a lovely book called The wolf was not sleeping, which has been written to try to soothe anxiety of children whose parents work as first responders.  Lyla was very excited to see her dad and he did her proud.

  

• ASJ Ambassadors reading wish list

  The Junior School Ambassadors took a survey of the favourite reads of all the children at All Saints' Juniors.

   

  They made a wish list, and with the help of our senior librarians (Hadley and Thea) ordered these wonderful books for us all to enjoy in our school library.
