  • Friday 15th November - Coffee Morning hosted by Amy Rickards, Family Support Worker, at St Josephs School from 9am until 10am.

    On Friday 15th November there will be a Coffee Morning hosted by Amy Rickards, our Family Support Worker, at St Josephs School from 9am until 10am. Sam Jones from CAMHS will be attending the meeting and will be discussing Anxiety. All parents and carers are very welcome to attend.

     

    Amy is hoping to run one of these coffee morning sessions, with different speakers, every half term and will rotate around the schools in the local area.

  • Library opening!

    It was lovely to see so many families join us to officially open our Infant School library! 

     

    Our Infant school ibrary will be open before and after school, every day, so that parents can take their children in to choose books (including our increasing range of non-fiction).

     

    We are looking forward to unveiling our Junior school library this coming Friday.

     

    Many thanks to the staff for working so hard to prepare the and organise the resources, as well as our PTFA who raised the thousands of pounds for additional books. smiley

  • Supporting reading: workshops for our parents and volunteers

    We are pleased to be able to offer some informal workshops for parents and our volunteers to support reading.

     

    • Phonics and supporting early reading workshop for parents: Wednesday 25th September at the Infant school. 2:30 p.m. until 3 p.m.
    • Supporting reading fluency and comprehension: Wednesday 25th September at the Junior school. 6:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

     

    The first workshop will be led by Mrs. Lee, our reading leader, and Mrs. Lloyd, our phonics leader.

     

    Volunteers

     

    We hope to see as many parents as possible at the workshops and will ensure all materials are made available on our website and via ParentMail.
