Many thanks to the parents who met with Mrs. Lee and I least week in our Parents' Forum.
During our latest meetings, parents considered the following areas which had been identified during our January parents’ survey:
You can find a summary of the groups’ suggestions in our letter and notes. We're all set for a busy term as we look to establish a consistent approach to homework and start to consult on a new Relationships Education curriculum.
Please remember you can find all the notes from previous meetings on our website: www.allsaintsfed.derbyshire.sch.uk/parents-forum/
Many thanks,
Mr. O'Connell
I am delighted to share with you all that Miss. Outhwaite, our Year 1 teacher, has been appointed as our new Senior Leader for Key Stage 1 with immediate effect.
This means that Miss. Outhwaite will take on the responsibility of leading teaching and learning in Year 1 and 2. She will work closely with Miss. Ferguson (our Early Years Senior Leader), Mrs. Lee (our Deputy Head) and myself.
I am sure you will join governors, staff and I in congratulating Miss. Outhwaite; I have been delighted with Miss. Outhwaite's work since she joined All Saints’ in September and I am very much looking forward to working with her on our senior leadership team.
Well done Miss. Outhwaite – exciting times ahead!

Many thanks,
Mr. O'Connell
Thank you very much to everyone who completed our annual parent questionnaire this year (January 2019); we received 284 responses. You can view all of the responses on the website (Parents - Parent Questionnaire).
The feedback we have received about almost every aspect of the school has been extremely positive. This reflects the hard work of all of the staff and the excellent support we get from our parental community.
The many positive comments have been shared with staff and governors and there are some clear areas that we clearly need to investigate further and act upon. I look forward to working with parents, and our Parents' Forum, to further improve All Saints' to ensure our children have the very best education.
Many thanks,
Mr. O'Connell
Many thanks to the children, parents, governors and staff who braved the cold and snow to spend their Saturday morning clearing and preparing our Forest Schools site.
During the morning, we managed to clear a huge new area, prune and tidy the willow entrance ways, cut back trees, brambles and undergrowth as well as make new fences.
Thank goodness for the hot chocolate that Miss. Bridges and Mr. Abbott prepared using our new storm kettles!
Many thanks to all involved. You've made a wonderful start in helping us to establish Forest Schools at All Saints.
Mr. O'Connell

It was lovely to see All Saints' Church packed for both services yesterday, first for the Year 3 and 4 service and then later for the Year 5 and 6 service.
It was wonderful to hear the children sing, perform, share readings and lead us in lovely Christmas services. You view a short video clip of the Year 5 children playing their hand bells on the Collective Worship section of the school website: www.allsaintsfed.derbyshire.sch.uk/collective-worship/
Many thanks to parents and relatives who attended and contributed to the USPG Education for All project in Sri Lanka. Thanks to your support, we raised just over £350.
Merry Christmas!
Mr. O'Connell
Year 1 and 2 led their own Christingle service this morning at All Saints’ Church.
The service involved readings, song, performances and a wonderful candle lit version of Silent Night.
