Everyone at ASI would like to say a very big THANK YOU to one of our very generous Great Uncles for his donation of our new bird house!
The bird house has been put in our garden near our apple trees and we are sure we will be able to do some bird spotting soon!
Thank you!
WOW! Another Year 2 Mystery Reader… but with a twist!!
Last week we had a visit from the very lovely John Gill who entertained our Year 2 children with musical storytelling!
The ASI Eco team have been busy labelling all of our waste bins to ensure we are recycling everything we can! Well Done Eco Team!!!
The Early Years children have mastered chopping & peeling vegetables such as swede, carrots, parsnips, baby corn & leeks to make a hearty vegetable soup! They look forward to tasting it today 😋
To celebrate World Book Day, all the staff at ASI put on the performance of their lives for our children. We took the fairytale Snow White and put an ASI twist on it!
Snow White is poisoned by her wicked Step Mother and even though Prince Charming tries to wake her up, it doesn’t work! The Fairy Godmother calls for a real hero in the shape of Princess Pearl (from the well loved book Zog and the Flying Doctors) for CPR, which saves Snow White!
The children loved our little show and the boo’s for the Wicked Queen were amazing!!
World Book Day for year 1 involved the children making bookmarks, writing their own books and reading books together!
They had so much fun 🤩
Year 2 had a wonderful day sharing their books with friends, doing World Book Day activities and even had a Mystery Reader!
ASI have kicked World Book Day off with a bang, our children and staff have gone all out to share the love of our favourite characters!
First up today is EYFS
The children in Early Years have made an Elmer mosaic, designed book covers and are loving the fun of todays dress up! We are also moulding and sculpting gruffalo figures in playdough and digging for super worm in the garden
