Our Y6 boys football team took part in (and WON) the EFL kids cup finals at Derby County’s training ground where they faced the 5 other winning schools from the previous round.
It was a highly skilled and competitive day filled with excellent teams and individual players.
Here are the results:
Game 1 vs Willington won 1-0
Game 2 vs Curzon won 2-1
Game 3 vs Cavendish Close won 1-0
Game 4 vs Heath Fields won 2-1
Game 5 vs Markeaton drew 1-1
We finished top of the table in 1st place with 13 points and an unbeaten record! 🥇
This now means…
-We will go on to represent Derby County Football Club against the 11 other winning schools from all the other northern Championship teams. 🐏
-Derby County Football Club will be coming into school soon to present us with our engraved trophy in an assembly.
-We will be provided with Derby County kits for the upcoming regional competition.
This is an absolutely outstanding achievement that we should all be celebrating!
Good luck in the regional finals boys. 1 more round and Wembley beckons! 🏟️
