Welcome to All Saints' Federation
Welcome to All Saints’, a thriving Infant and Junior school in the heart of Matlock. We are proud to be a place where children achieve, belong, and thrive — supported by loving relationships, inspiring environments, and a rich, inclusive curriculum.
“God gave you that gift... Now let it flourish, as a small flame grows into a fire.”
— 2 Timothy 1:6 (International Children's Bible)
What Makes All Saints’ Special
At All Saints’, we believe children flourish when they feel loved, inspired, and supported. Our school is more than just a place of learning — it’s a nurturing community where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to grow.
A Message from the Headteacher
Welcome to All Saints’ Federation.
It is my privilege to lead our wonderful Infant and Junior schools. At All Saints’, we see every child as a unique gift and are committed to helping each one flourish — academically, socially, and spiritually.
Guided by our Christian vision of Family, Faith and Flourish, we nurture strong relationships, create inspiring environments, and deliver a curriculum that supports every child to grow.
I warmly invite you to explore our website, visit our school, and discover what makes All Saints’ such a special place to learn and flourish.
With warmest wishes,
Mr Ben O’Connell
Executive Headteacher
Our History: Rooted in Faith and Community
All Saints’ has a proud heritage dating back to 1875, when Reverend Woolley donated land on Matlock Bank for the education of local children. The original school building, with its iconic bell tower, welcomed 68 children under Headmistress Mrs. Manifold.
As the community grew, so did the school — leading to the opening of the Junior site and the formation of the All Saints’ CE Federation. Today, both sites work together to continue a legacy of nurturing, inclusive education in the heart of Matlock.
We are proud of our deep roots and our ongoing commitment to providing a loving, faith-filled environment where every child can achieve, belong, and thrive.
