A very special day to Parliament!
What an incredible experience for our School Council as they travelled to London and visited Parliament.
The children had the fantastic opportunity to meet our MP, John Whitby, who kindly toured us around both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. It was a real wow moment and a day that our children will certainly remember!
Along the way, we spotted some of London’s famous sights and discovered so many fascinating facts about the history of Parliament and how it has shaped our country. Most importantly, the children have gained a much deeper understanding of the importance and value of democracy and what it means to have a voice and be heard.
There was so much to see, learn and take in, and we already have lots to share with the rest of our school community when we return! 🗣️📚
