Early Years

Welcome to Early Years at All Saints'

In our Early Years, we live out our vision of Family, Faith, Flourish by creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels they belong. We build strong, trusting relationships rooted in kindness and respect, supporting children to grow in confidence and independence. Through play, exploration and guidance, we help each child discover their unique gifts so they can flourish in their learning and development.

Early Years forms the first stage of the curriculum which runs across both All Saints CE Infants and onto the Juniors. All staff have high ambitions for all of our children and recognise that children have different starting points to their learning when they start at All Saints (whether in the nursery of within Early Years).

Our Early Years team work with peers across the Trust and our partnership, providing support and sharing pedagogy.

Our Nursery and Early Years provision are based at the Infant school, in the spacious teaching block, with a large, outside area for imaginative play.

Early Years curriculum and development in vocabulary

Staff have used research and a strong understanding of our children and community's needs to identify curricular goals for all of our children, which are broken down into termly milestones. We have developed helpful termly summaries of the important knowledge and language which are shared with parents (see below).

In addition, staff have used published research to carefully identify the precise vocabulary which they intentionally want all of our children to hear, understand and use.

Our curriculum, development of language and our half termly knowledge organisers are set out below:
