The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is a group of parents, teachers and friends of the school who work together alongside the school to organise fun events and activities that raise funds which are then used to improve the facilities and learning of our children.
Some examples of things our PTFA funds have been spent on in recent years are:
PE T-shirts (as a welcome gift for new starters)
Sports Day Medals
New Playground Markings
This year we will be fundraising for a new School Library.
We are always looking for new members to join the team to help out with events and bring new ideas. Dear Parents and Carers
As of September 2019, the two PTFAs will be merging to create ONE PTFA for both the infant and the junior schools. We feel that this will be an opportunity to bring together skills and experience from both committees and enable us to create a more cohesive programme of fundraising and events which will particularly help teachers and parents with children at both schools. It will also enable us to put in grant applications for both schools should we feel this appropriate.
In September, all officers will stand down from both committees and anyone can put themselves forward as an officer or committee member for the new joint PTFA. It is anticipated that in order for events to be run at the individual sites, there will be sub committees who will have ownership over particular events. In principle, there shouldn’t feel as if there is a huge difference, other than an increase in resources.
Both PTFAs have worked hard this year and efforts are still going strong as we plan for both school discos and summer fairs. As many of you know, the Summer Fair is the big event of the year and it is at these events that we need support from other parents more than ever to help things run smoothly. If you can offer half an hour of your time, at either summer fair, regardless of which All Saints School your child attends, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to register your support and interest.
